Quick answers to the 15 questions we hear most — from getting started to day-to-day use and account help.
Getting started
What is Sales Performance Management (SPM)?
SPM software automates the calculation, tracking, and reporting of sales commissions and incentive compensation — replacing fragile, manual spreadsheets with an auditable system.
What are the system requirements?
inlogic.ca is a web-based application — no installation or special hardware. It's continually tested on current browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge). All you need is a working browser and a stable internet connection.
How long does it take to implement inlogic.ca?
It depends on the learning curve of whoever configures the system — but with inlogic.ca's Simple Setting feature, it can take as little as 20 minutes.
Do we need IT to make changes?
No. Your business users maintain the compensation logic themselves — changes take minutes, with no vendor tickets or change-fees.
Do we need to learn JavaScript to use inlogic.ca?
No. inlogic.ca uses a light scripting language for rules and conditions, but it's easy to pick up — a couple of demo videos is usually enough to get going.
Using inlogic.ca
How does inlogic.ca handle complex plans?
Build measurements, plans, accelerators, and qualification or reversal conditions with spreadsheet-style formulas, across any organizational hierarchy.
Can we import our existing spreadsheet data?
Yes. inlogic.ca is spreadsheet-friendly, with templates to import payees and transactions directly from Excel (.xls or .csv).
What integrations are available?
An open API is available on Professional and Enterprise, alongside a self-serve payee portal, so you can connect inlogic.ca to the systems you already run.
How many compensation periods can I create?
It depends on your plan — from a single compensation period up to an unlimited number. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.
What's the difference between a Field Label and a Field Variable?
A Field Label is the human-readable name shown on screen; a Field Variable is the behind-the-scenes name the system uses when it processes rules. Field variables use camelCase — every word capitalized except the first (e.g. firstName).
What is a Lookup?
A Lookup is a reference value used in rules — interchangeable with quota, target, or performance standard. There are two kinds: a Payee Lookup (set per individual) and a Plan Lookup (set for a group). The How-To series walks through the difference.
What learning resources are available?
A How-To video series, a worked Case-Study series, a downloadable user guide, and more — available both inside the application and here on the website.
Accounts & troubleshooting
I didn't get a confirmation email after signing up.
It's most likely in your Junk or Spam folder. Add websupport@inlogic.ca to your address book so you don't miss notifications. If that doesn't help, contact support@inlogic.ca.
Why am I seeing a red exclamation-point warning?
It flags an invalid data entry or a program exception. If it doesn't clear after you correct the data, contact support@inlogic.ca.
Why are the Payee, Transaction, and Reference tables empty when I first log in?
inlogic.ca ships empty on purpose — you configure it to your own compensation plans and policies at sign-up, so those tables fill in as you set the system up for your business.
